Beyond Beautiful Closets – The Closet Darling Collective Conversation

In the closet and storage industry, it’s easy to focus on the pretty side of the job; colors, finishes, clever storage solutions, and those satisfying “after” photos. I love design inspiration as much as anyone. But lately, I’ve been asking myself:

Where are the conversations about the business side of what we do, especially among women in this industry?

I’m talking about the real work that keeps our businesses alive:

  • Generating qualified leads without burning out

  • Marketing and sales strategies that work right now

  • Pricing profitably and sticking to it

  • Charging consultation fees with confidence

  • Building systems for sustainable growth

Behind every beautifully staged closet is a woman managing install schedules, following up on balances, updating QuickBooks, and still finding time to design a flawless pantry and often doing it all alone. I’ve been that woman. I am that woman.

That’s why I created Closet Darling Collective, a community for women in the closet and organized storage industry who love design but also want to build strong, sustainable businesses. In this community, we talk about the whole picture: business strategy, burnout, software, team structure, even what to do when a client disputes a balance.

Because design is only half the job, and if we don’t support each other through the other half, we’ll keep hitting walls.

If you’ve been craving a place to talk shop, share ideas, and grow with women who get it, I’d love to connect. I’m hosting small roundtables and deeper conversations. Join us on Facebook: Closet Darling Collective | Facebook

With heart,
Carly
